Being a new-ish space nerd adjacent person

In recent years my interest in all things space has been kindled. It hasn’t been lit on fire, but my brain has been occasionally tickled. I’ve enjoyed listening to the Liftoff podcast on Relay FM as a convenient way to keep up on the latest space related news.

I think that my space interest came about for spiritual reasons. I’ve been wondering how my faith in Jesus would be impacted if life were discovered anywhere else in the universe - even if it were just a single celled organism. I’ve had some interesting discussions with friends on these matters.

Today’s landing on Mars of the NASA InSight probe reminded me again that it’s a good time to be following what’s happening in space exploration. The coming 20 years will bring the biggest leaps forward that humankind will have yet made into the black abyss of SPAAAAACE.
